2019 DONNA Marathon The DONNA Foundation

DONNA Marathon.

NEW In 2019, DONNA Marathon Weekend will start and finish in the heart of Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach, Florida.

Known by locals as the Beaches Town Center, this oceanfront destination twelve miles east of downtown Jacksonville offers a wealth of choices to shop, dine, relax and now race!

February 8 – 10, 2019, DONNA Marathon Weekend will include a 5K, Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultramarathon and Event Challenges and will again fill the Beaches of Northeast Florida with thousands of runners from all 50 states and many countries. Participants enjoy an even flatter, faster Boston-Qualifying marathon course that takes them through the four beautiful beach communities of Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach with scenic views and an outpouring of crowd support.

DONNA Marathon Weekend is an official event of The DONNA Foundation.

The DONNA Foundation, a private non-profit organization in Northeast Florida, provides financial assistance and support nationwide to those living with breast cancer and funds groundbreaking research to finish the disease once and for all.

To date, the foundation has served more than 11,000 families in need and dispersed more than $5 million to fuel programs that move families from a place of fear to a place of love.

Hats & Heroes Ball, Dream the Dream, benefiting Kids Beating Cancer, Saturday, September 29, 2018. When facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis, every family has a choice: give up or fight, hope, dream and love their way to a cancer-free world for their child. Kids Beating Cancer: We believe “Science is the Cure”, through your support you will be part of our commitment to bring research and clinical trials to the Kids Beating Cancer Pediatric Transplant Center. The music of the LES MISÉRABLES. Starring Terry Barber. Headliner: Terry Barber and his Orchestra Performing the Music of Les Misérables Terry Barber — International Countertenor. The star and Artistic Director of this series is Terry Barber, an internationally acclaimed, rare counter tenor. He is known for his extraordinary range, both vocally and stylistically. Terry is a past member of the two-time Grammy-winning vocal group, Chanticleer, mentioned for six Grammy’s in 2016.

Annual VisionWalk in Jacksonville and VisionWalk Orlando, Saturday, May 19, 2018. The VisionWalk Mission is Changing Lives One Step at a Time. Since its inception in the Spring of 2006, VisionWalk has raised over $45 million to fund sight-saving research. As promising treatments move into critical human studies, the need for research funding is greater than ever. VisionWalk is a signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Over 10 Million Americans are affected by blinding retinal diseases including macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome. The Foundation Fighting Blindness is working to find treatments and cures for these devastating diseases. By funding leading edge research in areas such as genetics, gene therapy, transplantation, artificial retinal implants and pharmaceutical and nutritional therapies, The Foundation Fighting Blindness is making a difference today to make the world a brighter place for those suffering with retinal degenerative diseases.

35th Annual Vision is Priceless BBQ and Western, Saturday, April 21, 2018. Through the generosity of supporters, Vision is Priceless provided free vision screenings for children and adults throughout Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns Counties. Volunteer doctors graciously provided free comprehensive eye exams and specialty care for those without insurance and who are low-income. Money raised through the BBQ & Western helps Vision is Priceless to continue and provide these free vision care services for our community.

2017 Hats & Heroes Masquerade Ball, Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida. In celebration of 25 years, Kids Beating Cancer presented a Masquerade Ball like no other, a condensed concert featuring the music from the longest running Broadway show, Phantom of the Opera with Terry Barber and his Orchestra!

2017 Orlando Child Advocacy Awards & Reception, Thursday, September 28, 2017, Shakai Sushi Lounge. Florida's Children First believe that all children have the right to food, clothing, housing, education, medical care, property and personal privacy. Most children have parents who take care of their needs and protect their rights. But thousands of children in Florida rely on state agencies to meet some or all of their needs. FCF exists to protect the rights of those children.
