What can I expect from my first visit at Florida Retina Institute?
Check in at the front desk with the receptionist and kindly present your insurance card.
You will need to fill out some easy health history and general information forms, which you can download, print and prepare before your appointment from your home by visiting the new patient forms page. A technician will then review these forms with you.
Most often, eye drops will be administered which will dilate your pupils. This step will blur your vision for 4 to 6 hours.
The doctor will perform a complete examination, and any testing which may be necessary. The doctor will discuss the results of these tests with you and answer any of your questions.
Note: You can expect to be with us for at least 3 hours during your first appointment. Please remember to always bring your current glasses for reading and distance.
