2017 Step Out Wellness Festival

Step Out, Walk to stop diabetes. On Saturday, November 18th, 2017, 8am check-in, 9am start, at the Fidelity National Parking Area, 601 Riverside Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida.

Step Out is a 5K walk/run that takes place along the First Coast's beautiful riverfront area, over 2 bridges (Main St. and Acosta) and ends at the "Finish Line Lawn" at the FIS/FNF campus. There is also a 1 mile wellness walk option.

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is part of the American Diabetes Association’s Stop Diabetes movement and the signature fundraising walk taking place in 144 cities across the United States to help raise money to help change the future of diabetes. Participants will join the movement by registering and recruiting co-workers, friends and family members to walk and raise money. The day of the event is a party to celebrate the fundraising accomplishments of our teams and individual participants as well as an opportunity to promote awareness about diabetes in the local community and the Association.

2018 Find Your Finish

2018 DONNA Breast Cancer Marathon, Find Your Finish. The DONNA Mission is to passionately raise funds for ground breaking breast cancer research and women living with breast cancer. Join us for the 11th Annual Marathon Weekend: Feb 9 – 11, 2018. The DONNA Foundation is a non-profit organization in Northeast Florida producing the only marathon in the U.S. dedicated to breast cancer research, awareness and care. Its mission is to provide financial assistance and support to individuals living with breast cancer and fund ground breaking breast cancer research.

The DONNA Foundation provides financial assistance for the critical needs of women and men living with breast cancer. To date, The DONNA Foundation has served more than 10,000 families. The DONNA Foundation also helped to develop and maintain the Mayo Clinic Breast Cancer Translational Genomics Program. Ongoing funding from the foundation make it possible for the laboratory team not only to conduct state of the art breast cancer research, including the widely publicized Triple Negative Breast Cancer Vaccine Trials, but also provide genomics support for studies in all cancers.

2017 Hats & Heroes Masquerade Ball, Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Florida. In celebration of 25 years, Kids Beating Cancer presented a Masquerade Ball like no other, a condensed concert featuring the music from the longest running Broadway show, Phantom of the Opera with Terry Barber and his Orchestra!

2017 Orlando Child Advocacy Awards & Reception, Thursday, September 28, 2017, Shakai Sushi Lounge. Florida's Children First believe that all children have the right to food, clothing, housing, education, medical care, property and personal privacy. Most children have parents who take care of their needs and protect their rights. But thousands of children in Florida rely on state agencies to meet some or all of their needs. FCF exists to protect the rights of those children.

VisionWalk Orlando at Cypress Grove Park on Sunday, May 7th, 2017 at 10AM. The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration, Usher syndrome and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.

Jacksonville VisionWalk, Foundation Fighting Blindness, on Saturday, April 29th, 2017, at the University of North Florida at 9AM. The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa, age-related macular degeneration, Usher syndrome and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.

The 34th Annual BBQ & Western for Vision is Priceless was held at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 8 from 5-9 p.m. The event has attracted many local celebrities and community members throughout the years in an effort to come together to raise money for improving vision health in Northeast Florida.

The Third Annual Tea & Biscuits, Tomoka Eye Foundation was held at the Daytona Shores Report & Spa on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. Tea & Bisquit, is an annual event that is a high tea, where funds raised are donated to those who assist in guide dog expenses.

On March 4th, 2017, the Lighthouse Central Florida presented the 28th Annual Sight and Sole. Central Florida’s only private, non-profit organization offering a comprehensive range of vision rehabilitation services to people living with vision loss and blindness.
